Dr. Tamar grew up in Teaneck, New Jersey. She obtained her B.A. in Psychology from Barnard College, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She then attended Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, where she received her D.D.S. During dental school, she participated in a global outreach program to Jamaica, where she first realized her passion for pediatric dentistry. Dr. Tamar went on to complete a general practice residency at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York. She then continued her post-graduate training in pediatric dentistry at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, where she served as chief resident during her second year.
She is a member of the ADA and AAPD and is board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She was awarded Top Doctor Bergen County in 201 Magazine (2017-2021) and NJ Top Dentist (2019-2021).
Dr. Tamar’s goal is for every child to have a positive and fun experience at the dentist.
When not in the office, Dr. Tamar enjoys indoor cycling, boutique fitness and barre classes, doing puzzles, and going to sports games.
